Dust London’s sculptural series ‘Drift’ is inspired by found, coastal man made materials. These objects have withstood natural elements, each form shaped by their journey to the shore. From battered rubber, fractured plastic and shattered composites. Through their interaction with the environment these materials have transformed but survived. The series reflects on this relationship between manufactured and raw materials.

Each piece is constructed from cellulose fibre, a material developed through traditional hand made techniques. Dust London’s organic process draws on their commitment to challenging the ways we use materials today. Reinventing our understanding of the potential for natural materials.
