Created in 2022, Dubai-based Collectible Design brand Kameh combines Craftsmanship and Complexity into Minimal interior pieces where Function and Art are synonymous. Kameh finds inspiration in various Artistic elements, such as Art, Nature, and the Human self. His pieces, mimic a solid Stone smoothed on the exposed surface by unforgiving Nature and still rough and uniquely formed on the inside.
The table and bench were designed in sync to complement and support each other in a Natural state. Both pieces are intended to be interpreted simultaneously as common, relatable objects of functionality, and as works of Art.
The Collection is crafted by techniques and multiple layers of materials representing the human self. The metal construction of the frame as bones and physical body, the softness of Foam that fills the inside core of the piece represents human emotions, and the hard cement covering the structure is the protective instinct guard we create to shield from the harshness of the world.
Kameh’s collections is imperfect, hand-sculpted by the Artist, the form allows each piece to be wildly idiosyncratic. The rawness of the design is in stark contrast to the perfect geometry of any room, functioning as objects for daily use and in equal part as objects of decorative beauty.
